Dairyland Showdown brings Dustin Sorensen to Midwest for World of Outlaws weekend
Losing Thursday's opener to lingering showers, Dustin Sorensen was one of 44 World of Outlaw Late Models at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Friday afternoon for the rain-shortened Dairyland Showdown.
Qualifying third-quickest in his group, Sorensen ran runner-up in his heat race and earned a seventh-place starting spot in the main event. With $25,000 on the line, Dustin fell outside the Top-10 and finished 12th.
Winning a last chance showdown on Saturday to make the finale, Dustin recorded a 17th-place in the $30,000-to-win feature.
Sorensen is currently 12th in the series point standings.
