Dustin Sorensen closes out Speedweeks at Volusia Speedwy Park with World of Outlaws
With another six-day stretch of racing on tap, Dustin Sorensen checked in with the World of Outlaw Late Model Series at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Monday afternoon for the DIRTcar Nationals.
After missing the $7,000-to-win opener, Sorensen raced his way into Tuesday's main event where he recorded a 20th-place finish. In Wednesday's split-field show, Dustin landed inside the Top-10 in ninth.
As the World of Outlaws took over the remainder of the week, Sorensen took a provisional starting spot and finished 24th before racing his way into the $12,000-to-win feature on Friday to finish 19th. For the $20,000 finale on Saturday, Dustin nabbed the final transfer spot in his last chance showdown and wound up 21st in the 50-lap main event.
