Sorensen ninth in Bayou Classic opener at Boothill Speedway

Rolling into the last weekend of the regular season, Dustin Sorensen followed the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Series to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) on Friday evening for the first night of the Bayou Classic.

Sorensen set fast time among the 41 entries on hand and then ran second to Cody Overton in his heat race. Dustin started fifth in the $10,000-to-win feature and earned a Top-10 finish in ninth. In Saturday's $50,000-to-win program, Sorensen grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat and finished 13th in the feature.

Sorensen currently sits 11th in the World of Outlaws point standings heading into next month's World Finals.
