Sorensen makes 38th-Annual USA Nationals; Fourth-place showing at Wilmot Raceway

Kicking off the long week in Wisconsin, Dustin Sorensen followed the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series to Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway for a $12,000-to-win show on Tuesday evening.

Sorensen picked up a heat race win and redrew the third starting spot where he eventually recorded a Top-5 finish in the 40-lap feature. He trailed Ryan Gustin, Bobby Pierce, and Dennis Erb Jr. while Tanner English completed the Top-5.

Primed for the 38th-annual USA Nationals on Thursday evening, Dustin did not make the $10,000-to-win opener, but earned a spot in the $100,000-to-win finale after finishing runner-up in a heat race on Friday. Sorensen faded back in the feature on Saturday, but completed all 100-laps and finished 17th.

Sorensen is now 11th in the tour's point standings.
