Dustin Sorensen tackles first weekend of DIRTcar Nationals in UMP Modifieds

After opening the World of Outlaws Late Model Series season at the facility, Dustin Sorensen came right back to Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Thursday afternoon for the opening night of the two-week DIRTcar Nationals.

Competing in the DIRTcar UMP Modified division, Sorensen was among a huge field of over 60 Modifieds in the pit area. Finishing 13th in Thursday's opening feature, Dustin recorded his best finish on Friday evening with a sixth-place run in the 20-lap main event. Sorensen ended his weekend with a 18th-place finish in Saturday's finale.
