Dustin Sorensen kicks off 2025 with strong outing in Wild West Shootout opener
Dustin Sorensen opened up his 2025 season by competing in both the Super Late Model and A-Modified division at Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park during the 19th-annual Wild West Shootout.
With over 50 Modifieds signed in, Sorensen grabbed a pair of runner-up finishes in both Saturday and Sunday's main events. Dustin ran second to Cade Dillard in Saturday's $2,000-to-win feature before finishing behind Jake Gallardo on Sunday evening.
For the Super Late Model opener on Saturday, Dustin grabbed the final transfer spot in his heat race before making up six spots in the $25,000-to-win feature to finish eighth. Starting further back in the field on Sunday, Sorensen charged from 21st-to-9th for another Top-10 outing.
